Just another poem
Just another truth
Just another folly of my youth
Just another memoir of words to say
Just another fact that I must say

Our forefathers said
That the time would come
That to the power of their words
We would become numb

Words that they wrote us
To guide us through
Another revolution
Of right and truth

Just another poem
Just another truth
Just another folly of my youth
Just another memoir of words to say
Just another writ that I must stay

The constitution said
That we would lead
But do the politicians
Give any heed

Do you think they care
About what we say
Obviously not
They go their own way

{CENSORED}
Just another rebel he won’t last long
Sooner or later we’ll prove he’s wrong
We’ll blackmail and blackball his every deed
And If that doesn’t work
He’ll succumb to greed
{END OF CENSOR}

Plotting to steal
From us the truth
Blinding us to
Our facts of youth

Burying us all
In our prime
They’re holding the reigns
And marking time

Just another guise to leave us blind
Just another tilt to change our mind
The rebel has come
And they stand tall
Plotting to push us against the wall

Blinded by the visions
They’ve been sold upon
Not knowing that soon
They will be gone

The smoke will clear
For all to see
That the voice of the people
Is all that we need
